Nothing Owed

Nothing Owed was one of my favorite and most intensive projects that I completed at Full Sail University.  I was given a video of a short film along with the original dialogue and on-site recordings.  The first task that I had was to prepare my Pro Tools session for the project.  I created ghost clips for dialogue and ambiences and created tracks for re-recording, SFX, foley, ambience, and music.  I was only required to perform ADR for one actor, which I voiced myself, but I did have to do plenty of volume automation on the other actors to account for the poor pick up of their lavaliers.  The foley was probably the most fun part of this project for me.  Setting up a recording stage and acting out the scenes was more like play to me than something that would be required of a job.  However, the SFX was the most enjoyable.  I thoroughly enjoyed finding, manipulating, and combining different samples that I couldn't create during foley so that they fit the scenes perfectly.  This project was a test of my ability to complete a project under pressure and it definitely helped to improve my workflow and mastery of key commands.
